Payne and McCarthy out, Best returns for Wallabies Test

Jared Payne and Mike McCarthy have been ruled out of the Australia Test on Saturday.

Ulster centre Jared Payne was officially ruled out with a strained ankle and it was felt he hadn't played enough rugby in preparation for the game so he was released back to Ulster.

Leinster's Mike McCarthy has also returned to his province to continue his recovery from concussion he got during the Georgia game on Sunday.

However, there is good news for Joe Schimdt as Rory Best returns for the Wallabies clash.

Management said the Ulster hooker was "flying" in training today.
