Pat Smullen to take part in charity race at the Curragh

Pat Smullen will return to the saddle one last time, for charity, this September.

The Derby-winning jockey who had to retire due to a battle with cancer this year, will ride on Champions Weekend at The Curragh.

He will line up with 10 other former jockeys in the "Pat Smullen Race for Cancer Trials Ireland" on Sunday, September 15.
