O'Rourke through to 100m hurdles final

Derval O'Rourke is through to the final of the women's 100m hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona tonight.

Staring in lane six the Cork star ran strongly in her semi-final to finish third with a time of 12.75, further improving on her season best of 12.88.

The race was won by Nevin Yanit of Turkey with 12.71, Germany's Carolin Nytra pipping O'Rourke for second with 12.75 also.

The final will take place at 7.25pm.

Alistair Cragg takes part in the men's 5000m final at 8:20pm.
