Officials abandon Ayr meeting

This afternoon's meeting at Ayr has been abandoned due to unsafe ground after an impromptu inspection of the track.

A number of jockeys complained about an area of soft ground turning into the straight, around three furlongs down the track.

Officials and riders inspected the area and decided to call off the meeting.
