Ireland’s Seamus O’Connor will have another chance to qualify for the finals at the Winter Olympics in Saturday morning's semi-final.
O'Connor finished 13th in the second qualification heat of the snowboard slopestyle event, despite failing to land his final jump in the on both runs.
The American-born 16-year-old said he is very grateful to be representing his adopted nation.
“My dad’s side of the family are from Ireland I feel very Irish and am very lucky to be here.” he said.
The games don't officially start until tomorrow.
