N’Zogbia in contention for Wigan

Charles N’Zogbia is set to return to the Wigan team for the visit of Sunderland to the DW Stadium on Saturday.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed the midfielder will be considered for selection again, two weeks after he was left out of the 1-0 win at Tottenham following the breakdown of his proposed transfer to Birmingham.

Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is available having also missed the victory at White Hart Lane due to a hip problem, while striker Victor Moses, who has been nursing an ankle injury, is rated at 50-50 to take part and defender Gary Caldwell remains sidelined after hip surgery.

New signings Franco Di Santo and Tom Cleverley could both be in line for their debuts.

Provisional squad: Kirkland, Al Habsi, Gohouri, Stam, Boyce, Alcaraz, N’Zogbia, Diame, McArthur, Figueroa, Cleverley, McCarthy, Watson, Thomas, Rodallega, Boselli, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez, Golobart, S Caldwell.
