Northern Ireland call-up for Gault

Linfield midfielder Michael Gault has been drafted into the Northern Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifier against San Marino on Wednesday at Windsor Park.

Gault steps up as Chris Baird looks likely to switch to a defensive role, with Jonny Evans suspended after picking up a second yellow card in the defeat by Slovenia on Saturday.

The 25-year-old made his debut for the side as a substitute in the friendly victory against Georgia in March.
