No new worries for Smith

Rangers manager Walter Smith has no fresh injuries ahead of their Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Dundee United.

Madjid Bougherra will play his final game for the Scottish champions before joining with the Algeria squad for the African Nations Cup.

Steven Naismith could recover from a hamstring injury to play a part against United or Celtic on Sunday.

But it is more likely that he, along with Kevin Thomson (calf) and DaMarcus Beasley (thigh), will return for the game against Hamilton in a couple of weeks.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Broadfoot, Davis, McCulloch, Novo, Lafferty, Edu, Miller, Whittaker, Boyd, Smith, Fleck, Little, Wilson, Alexander.
