Newton Abbot passes inspection

This afternoon's meeting at Newton Abbot has been given the all-clear after a dry night in Devon, England.

Clerk of the course Jason Loosemore held a precautionary inspection early this morning following a recent deluge of rainfall.

Conditions have improved significantly, however, and the National Hunt fixture was given the thumbs-up.

"We had a dry day on Sunday and also dry night, so we are racing," confirmed Loosemore.

"It is a pleasant morning and the going is heavy, soft in places."
