Naas called off

This afternoon's meeting at Naas has been abandoned due to snow.

After an inspection at 8am it was decided to look again at 10am in the hope that the overnight snow would thaw.

However, cloud cover meant temperatures were only rising slowly and the card, featuring the Woodlands Park 100 Nas Na Riogh Novice Chase, has been lost.

"It's gone I'm afraid," said the Irish Turf Club's press officer Cliff Noone. "They were hoping it would brighten up but it didn't and there is cloud cover now.

"It is overcast now so they've had to pull the plug."
