Morrison brace takes points for Derry

Finn Harps 0 Derry City 2

Two brilliant goals from Owen Morrison kept Derry's title hopes very much alive as they won the northwest derby at Finn Park tonight.

Derry had the better of the first half with Mark Farren and Kevin McHugh coming close before winger Morrison came into his own to score twice within a minute.

Morrison first drove home a free kick on 77 minutes to deservedly give Derry the lead.

Scarcely had Harps recovered when Morrison struck again to blast an unstoppable shot to the net to give Stephen Kenny's side a deserved win.
