Luka Modric was named in Tottenham’s starting line-up against West Ham at Upton Park this afternoon after making a speedy recovery from the leg injury he suffered against West Brom two weeks ago.

West Ham boss Avram Grant, meanwhile, was looking for his side’s first win in the league, and he brought back Robert Green in goal and gave Kieron Dyer a start as he made six changes from the side which beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in the Carling Cup in midweek.
