There’s never a good time for a run-in with the police, especially not the day before a big event.

But luckily for Mo Farah and David Rudisha, this wasn’t anything to worry about – it was just some A+ banter from the UK police.

The police shared images on their Facebook page of them “arresting” the pair – who are in Newcastle ahead of the Great North Run – and putting them in the back of a police car after “reports of a speeding object on the Quayside”.
