McManus facing fitness test

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan will assess the fitness of skipper Stephen McManus ahead of tomorrow’s Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final at Kilmarnock.

Scotland defender McManus was replaced by Glenn Loovens at half-time of Saturday’s 4-2 Clydesdale Bank Premier League win against Hibernian after suffering a tight hamstring.

Strachan is set to reshuffle his side yet again after making four changes against Hibs.

Provisional squad: Boruc, Hinkel, Wilson, Naylor, Caldwell, McManus, Loovens, Robson, Nakamura, McGeady, Scott Brown, Hartley, Maloney, Sheridan, McDonald, McCourt, Mark Brown, Donati, O’Dea.
