McGeady back in contention for Celtic

Aiden McGeady is in contention for Celtic’s Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna tomorrow night as he continues to make progress from an ankle injury.

Celtic manager Tony Mowbray took no chances with the Republic of Ireland player for Saturday’s SPL win at St Mirren but is now ready to bring him back in for the visit of the Austrians.

Midfielder Paddy McCourt and defender Andreas Hinkel missed training today with knocks and will also be assessed in the morning.

Provisional squad: Boruc, Hinkel, Loovens, McManus, D Fox, McCourt, McGinn, McGeady, N’Guemo, Brown, Crosas, Maloney, McDonald, Killen, Samaras, Zaluska, Caldwell, Robson, Mizuno, Caddis.
