Manchester United earned a hard fought win but Jose Mourinho still looked like he needed a hug

In a hard fought game Manchester United grabbed the victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s second Premier League game, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan bagging the winner with his first league goal for the Red Devils.

After Mkhitaryan has had difficulties getting in the team his fine performance – though marred by an ankle injury towards the end of the game -Jose Mourinho must have been pleased. Right?

Maybe not such a happy camper then?

But the game must have at least released some stress? Spurs had only been beaten once before this season, and were playing on the back of a huge 5-0 win over Swansea last week.

Okay perhaps not.

Something suggests you weren’t happy at all actually Jose, what’s wrong? Are you warm?

That’s it take your coat off.

Better?

Something tells us from this shot of you at the midweek fixture suggests the coat removal doesn’t do the trick…

In fact you seem to have been all kinds of sad lately.

Think happy thoughts.

Not those ones! Maybe you need a hug?

Don’t just stand there steward, hug the man!

Look Feyenoord manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has the right idea.

Still no smiles?

Maybe it’s winning ways which will bring back the happy times to Mourinho.

String a few more results like today’s together, and maybe – just maybe – he’ll be back to this…
