Man City look to pile pressure on Blues

Manchester City look to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Chelsea this afternoon.

A win for the champions against Southampton would take them above today's opponents into second - and narrow the gap on Jose Mourinho's side to six points.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini knows how vital a victory would be to their hopes of retaining the title.

He said: "It's an inportant game because we need the threre points. It's always better to be second than third."
