Lowry leads in Sicily

Offaly's Shane Lowry holds the early lead at the Sicilian Open this morning with a score of three under after five holes.

Paul McGinley and Gareth Maybin are both level par after three.

Elsewhere, Graeme McDowell has said he is playing in the Shell Houston Open because he wants to change how he prepares for the Masters.

It is the former Open Champion's first time to play at the event since 2006.

Padraig Harrington and Darren Clarke also take part with play starting later today.
