Lovenkrands pens Newcastle deal

Peter Lovenkrands has re-signed for Newcastle on a three-year deal after being out of contract since May.

The 29-year-old Danish striker spent the second half of last season at St James’ Park, scoring three goals in 12 appearances.

The former Rangers and Schalke player is expected to make his debut at Cardiff on September 13.
