Long still struggling with ankle injury

Striker Shane Long remains doubtful for West Brom’s trip to face Stoke tomorrow.

The Republic of Ireland international is still struggling with the ankle injury which kept him out of last weekend’s win over Swansea, leaving Irish boss Giovanni Trapattoni fearing whether the Tipperary man will be able to join up with the rest of the squad on Sunday ahead of next week's trip to Sweden.

Right-back Steven Reid is also doubtful due to a groin problem which also sidelined him for Saturday’s 2-1 victory at the Hawthorns. Head coach Steve Clarke has no new injuries to deal with.

Provisional squad: Foster, Myhill, Daniels, Reid, Jones, Olsson, McAuley, Tamas, Ridgewell, Popov, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Yacob, Brunt, Morrison, Thomas, Lukaku, Long, Fortune, Odemwingie, Rosenberg, Sawyers, Brown.
