Liverpool v Newcastle: Remember this 90s classic?

Newcastle welcome Liverpool to St James’ Park today for a fixture that hasn’t ended in 0-0 since 1974. Whatever the final result viewers can expect goals galore.

Ahead of kick-off take a look back at the meeting between the two sides that was voted “Match of the Decade” after the first 10 years of the Premier League era.

Played in April when both sides still had some chance of winning - the result actually played a major part in Manchester United eventually claiming the Premier League title.

With 7 goals scored between the 2nd and 92nd minutes - a match even vanquished Kevin Keegan described as a “classic”.
