Liverpool make £15m Joe Allen bid

Liverpool have made a £15m bid for Swansea midfielder Joe Allen. The fee triggers the release clause in the Wales international's contract.

Rodgers swapped the Liberty Stadium for Anfield earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, tonight in the Europa league third qualifying round, the Reds host FC Gomel leading 1-0 from their first leg , kick off is at five past 8.

St Pats take on Hannover in Germany.

The Saints are 3-0 down going into that match, kick off is at 7.30.
