Leicester inspect for third time

This afternoon’s meeting at Leicester must pass an 11.30am course inspection.

Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson has refused to wave the white flag - despite two earlier inspections this morning.

Overnight temperatures dropped to minus 7C.

Stevenson said: ``It's coming on nicely, we just need another hour.

“We’ve got a problem on the road crossings – the frost got under the covers - but we are hopeful.

“We’ve walked the track and we can’t find anything that is really worrying us.”
