Lawrie and McGrane five shots off lead in China

Ireland's Peter Lawrie and Damien McGrane are five shots off the lead after the opening day of the China Open in Beijing today.

The duo both carded level-par 72s to end the day in a tie for 20th place.

Austria's Markus Brier leads the field on five-under-par.

Elsewhere, Paul McGinley carded a two-over-par 74, while Gary Murphy and Gareth Maybin both finished up on four-over.
