Kirilenko seals final spot

Home favourite Maria Kirilenko set up a Kremlin Cup final showdown with Victoria Azarenka of Belarus after they both eased to straight-sets victories in today’s semi-finals.

The sixth-seeded Kirilenko got the better of Vera Dushevina in an all-Russian encounter, winning 6-1 6-1 in just 71 minutes to ensure her first final appearance of 2010.

Azarenka, the second seed, was made to work slightly harder in her encounter with eighth-seeded Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain, but still had plenty in reserve as she eased to a 6-3 6-3 win.
