Jury hunting German glory

Jukebox Jury is set to make his next appearance in the Group One Preis von Europa on September 27.

Last year’s Royal Lodge Stakes winner was to be trained by Mark Johnston with a Classic campaign in mind but missed the first part of the season.

However, the Alan Spence-owned colt has regained the winning thread and took the Grand Prix de Deauville by a nose last month.

Spence said: “He’s well and going to run at Cologne. It’s the day after the Royal Lodge and he’ll go there as long as the ground is not very firm or very soft.”

Spence reports Black Spirit to be his representative in this year’s Royal Lodge.
