Joe Ward set for Madison Square Garden debut

Joe Ward will make his professional debut in New York in October.

The three-time European amateur light-heavyweight champion is set to fight on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin’s IBF World middleweight title defence at Madison Square Garden.

An opponent has yet to be confirmed for the Westmeath southpaw.

Ward recently signed with New York-based promoters Times Square Boxing.
