Jamie Carragher and Didi Hamann have a spat on Twitter - it gets weird

Former teammates Jamie Carragher and Dietmar Hamann have had a frank exchange of views on Twitter and it got a little weird.

Carragher is one of many who have been critical of current Liverpool keeper Loris Karius in recent weeks and Hamann has leapt to the young shot-stopper’s defence.

Carragher wasn’t too happy with Hamann and decided to pour petrol on the situation.

Didi wasn’t impressed …

… but he probably wasn’t expecting this comeback.

WHAT?

We think this Tweeter summed up all of our reactions.

Not to worry though, Carragher has since reported that he and the “Kaiser” Hamann are still friends.

And the Japan story? Carragher has previously said that while in Tokyo for the World Club Championship, he and Hamann got in a spot of bother. It ended with them being chased by police and Hamann spent a few hours in police custody.

Here is the man himself telling the tale.
