Ireland’s women qualify for Euro 2009 play-offs

The Republic of Ireland's senior women footballers have qualified for the Euro 2009 play-offs.

Noel King's side went through last night despite losing 1-0 to Sweden in Trelleborg.

They secured a place in the play-offs thanks to Germany's 3-0 win over Switzerland.
