Ireland’s McGarry in 48th after first run of slalom

Irish skier Kirsty McGarry finished in 48th place in the first run of the Ladies Slalom event in Turin this afternoon.

The second run takes place at 5.45pm today Irish time.

Sweden and Austria hold first and second place at the moment via Anja Pearson and Nicole Hosp.

The Dublin woman is also taking part in the Giant Slalom tomorrow.

McGarry pulled out of the Super G Downhill on Monday in order to concentrate on the two slaloms, which are her best events.
