It all started so well for England, with their noisy fans enjoying the atmosphere ahead of the semi-final against Croatia in Moscow.

At that point, football was certainly coming home, and the fans certainly believed.

It wasn’t just the fans in the stadium who were dreaming of the World Cup final, it went crazy over in England.

It was all going so well at half-time, with England just 45 minutes away from their first World Cup final since 1966.

But then disaster struck for the English, as Croatia equalised, taking the game to extra-time.

And it got worse for them. Croatia scored the winner in extra time.
