Here’s how you do a bicycle kick, as told by Pele to Robbie Keane

We’re sure it was another dream come true for Robbie Keane to meet Pele, and with good reason, writes Stephen Barry.

The LA Galaxy star’s meeting with the three-time World Cup winner was documented on Instagram and Keano was understandably all ears when Pele showed off his old bicycle kick technique.

In Keane's own words, “The moment you meet the greatest player of all time, and (he) tells you how to do a bicycle kick you listen.”

As for what Pele had to learn from Robbie, perhaps he picked up some Instagram tips, having set up an account on the same day.

Coincidence? We think not…

Meanwhile, with Euro 2016 in mind, Keane’s own Instagram has been filled with updates about his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

His previous video, posted yesterday, showed him sharpening up and he has returned to training with his club.

However Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena told reporters that he thinks Keane's playing return is still a few weeks away

“I think he’s rushing it a little bit,” said Arena.

“I don’t think he’ll be ready to play next week. He probably needs a few weeks.”
