Ever thought that what you really needed in your life was a football boot with a squared off toe?

No, us neither, but Harry Redknapp clearly has – he’s taken to Twitter to promote the new Serafino 4th Edge, a “radical new boot” which its makers claim will give you “a 33% advantage (in terms of the number of kicking zones)”. That’s the toe.

Redknapp posted this promotional video to Twitter earlier, and everyone is frankly bewildered.

Is this real? Or is it some kind of Chris Morris Brass Eye-style set-up?

Are we all really going to be toe punting and poking the ball around the pitch thanks to this revolutionary new footwear technology?

Twitter isn’t so sure.

Actually, Twitter is very sure.

It was mostly just an excuse to have a good laugh at Redknapp’s expense.

But maybe it could be the big hit of the festive season?

Hmmmm, maybe not then. Still, we can all agree that, if nothing else, it’s the perfect boot for Gary Lineker.
