This afternoon’s meeting at Wetherby has passed a precautionary inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.

Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson needed to assess conditions shortly before 8.30am given a forecast for heavy rain after their Boxing Day fixture.

Although the track sustained six millimetres of rainfall on Wednesday, the Yorkshire venue remained dry overnight.

The going is currently heavy, soft in places.
