Today’s meeting at Galway has been given the go ahead following an early morning inspection.
The fixture had been in doubt following heavy rain on Saturday, but that cleared overnight.
“We had no rain last night, but we’d had 33 millimetres of rain in 24 hours up to 9am,” said racecourse manager John Moloney.
“The forecast is for today to be mainly dry with very little rain perhaps a few light showers. The course is in good nick.”
The going is described as heavy.
