Former Wexford hurler Diarmuid Lyng chose an unusual topic for a recent TEDx talk in Wexford, basing his presentation around a hurl and what it has meant to him throughout his life.
The resulting nine minute talk is a compelling reflection on the passions of our lives and how they influence us for both good and ill.
Lyng has worked as a mental health advocate since among other roles since his retirement from inter-county hurling and his passion for the subject makes for a fascinating talk.
“The revolution is an internal revolution,” he tells us and it appears to have struck a chord with many viewers.
