Frosty Musselburgh to inspect

Musselburgh have announced an 8am inspection on Sunday ahead of Monday’s fixture.

With parts of the Scottish course already frozen, clerk of the course Anthea Morshead has acted swiftly in light of a dubious forecast.

She said: “We’re not too bad this morning, but the forecast is very poor.

“We’re looking at a max of 2C for each day and minus 3C on a night.

“There’s a also an intense band of snow forecast for this afternoon.

“At the moment the frost is the problem, but we could also have an issue with snow by tomorrow.”
