Franca set for Hammers bow

West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola could give Mexican striker Guillermo Franca his debut in tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie against Bolton.

Luis Jiminez and Junior Stanislas will also come into the equation to strengthen West Ham’s attacking options after missing the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool.

But the Hammers are set to be without Matthew Upson and Valon Behrami who were both injured at the weekend.

Provisional squad: Green, Faubert, Upson, Tomkins, Ilunga, Noble, Parker, Behrami, Cole, Jiminez, Dyer, Spector, Gabbidon, Collison, Stanislas, Hines, Nouble, Da Costa, Diamanti, Franca, Kurucz.
