The former presenters of Newstalk sports show 'Off The Ball' said today that they will be back on air “very soon”.

Eoin McDevitt, Ken Early, Simon Hick, Ciaran Murphy and Mark Horgan quit the station after a request to move the show to an earlier time slot was refused by station bosses.

The five did not say exactly when they would be back, or on what station.

It has been reported that lead presenter Eoin McDevitt would not be permitted to join a rival station until May.
