FAI Ford Cup tie off due to waterlogged pitch

Tonight’s FAI Ford Cup third round tie between Waterford United and Mervue United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The tie, which was due to take place at the RSC, has been rescheduled for 7.45pm on Monday, September 3 at the same venue.

The draw for the quarter-finals of the FAI Ford Cup will take place live on MNS (RTE TWO, 7-8 pm) tonight.

The clubs still in the competition and their numbers are:

1 – Bohemians

2 – Derry City

3 – Drogheda United

4 – Dundalk

5 – St Patrick’s Athletic

6 – Shamrock Rovers

7 – Shelbourne

8 – Waterford United/Mervue United

The quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of September 16.
