Eriksson agent flirts with Fulham

Athole Still, agent for former England and Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, has admitted his client could be tempted by the vacancy at Fulham but confirmed there had been no contact with the London club.

Eriksson has “unfinished business” in the Premier League following his sacking by City in 2008, according to Still.

Asked if the Swede, now out of contract following the end of his contract with Ivory Coast, could be interested in a move to Craven Cottage, Still told Radio Five Live: “It’s a very attractive club, not just for Sven-Goran Eriksson.”

But he added: “(There has been) no contact whatsoever.

“We’ve know for several weeks that Sven was one of the managers under consideration for the job.

“(There has been) no interview, no discussion whatsoever.”

Still claimed Eriksson was treated badly by City because of a clash of personalities with then owner Thaksin Shinawatra.

The Swede was sacked by Shinawatra with City ninth in the table.

“Of course he has unfinished business there (the Premier League),” said Still.

“He was in my view outrageously sacked from his position.

“He did a first-class job with Manchester City – it was a personal non-compatability with Dr Shinawatra which caused him to be sacked.

“He should still be there.”
