Drogba doubtful for Pompey clash

Chelsea have doubts about Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba for tomorrow night’s Premier League clash with Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge.

Drogba hurt his back in training today and will have a late fitness test tomorrow.

Defender Alex and Salomon Kalou are both back in the squad after recovering from injury.

However, full-back Jose Bosingwa (knee) and Michael Essien (hamstring) remain long-term absentees. Ricardo Carvalho is rested.

Provisional squad: Cech, Hilario, Turnbull, Ivanovic, Belletti, Alex, Terry, A Cole, Lampard, Ballack, Obi, Malouda, J Cole, Zhirkov, Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Kakuta, Bruma, Borini.
