Cristiano Ronaldo has had a better week than everybody else

The Club World Cup doesn’t get oodles of coverage, but if you were paying attention you’ll have noticed Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the final to help Real Madrid beat Kashima Antlers 4-2.

First things first, it rounded off one of the better weeks in CR7′s career.

He even won the golden ball award.

His hat-trick put him in pretty good company too. This tweet explains that Pele and Ronaldo are the only players to have scored hat-tricks in a final of this kind.

Oh, this? Just another hat-trick to add to my collection.

The year hasn’t been a bad one for Cristiano either, to be honest.

If you’ve got Ronaldo as your secret Santa this year, don’t buy him a trophy – he’s already got loads.
