Cork boss unhappy with fixture congestion

Cork hurling manager Gerald McCarthy has called on the County Board to postpone next weekend's round of club fixtures.

McCarthy believes the two-week gap between the second round matches and the Rebels' Munster semi-final meeting with Tipperary is too short.

Eleven Cork players run the risk of getting injured during club action as ahead of the Tipp game.
