Conlan leads Irish medal hopes today

The Olympics continues today with plenty of Irish involvement and the potential for another medal in the boxing ring.

This evening after 9pm Michael Conlan fights Nordone Oubaali of France in the men's flyweight quarter-final with the winner guaranteed a bronze medal.

On the track at 10.55am, Wicklow's Fionnula Britton runs in the 5,000 metres heats while at 12.15pm Galway's Paul Hession takes part in the 200 metres heats.

Gavin Noble competes in the mens triathlon from 11.30am while the men's 470 sailors are back on the water from 12.30pm.

This evening Derval O'Rourke runs in the 110 metres hurdles semi-finals.
