Brazilian footballers protest by playing Serie A style

We all know about the protests recently in Brazil about the state of their country, but it's now spread to the country's footballers.

The players there had a novel way of showing their discontent against a congested football calendar.

They just stood still.

When I watched the clip below, I thought I was watching a Serie A game.

Apparently, some players refused to kick off after the referee’s whistle in other matches while another match saw the protest happen before the whistle because of threats that every player on the field would be shown a yellow card.
