Back to basics for the Gooch

Two of Ireland's top GAA stars have insisted that there is no chance that they will get carried away with themselves in the wake of a hectic season with their counties.

Colm Cooper may have bagged another All-Ireland winner's medal with the Kingdom but he is already back on the playing field with his club Dr Crokes as they bid to claim another county senior football title on the way to a possible AIB All Ireland Club Championship title.

Tipp's intercounty senior hurling goalkeeper Brendan Cummins does not have that to look forward to though.

The Ballybacon/Grange clubman can enjoy the winter now that their involvement in the Tipperary club championship has ended.
