Saturday’s meeting at Ayr survived an early-morning inspection and will go ahead as scheduled – but only races over seven furlongs and further.
The seven-race card will be amended accordingly as the home straight on the Flat track is unfit for racing.
Ayr officials will instead use the home straight on the hurdle track.
Clerk of the course Katherine Self said: “We are looking at this stage at dropping the six-furlong nursery and changing the conditions of the six-furlong sprint into a seven-furlong race.
“We should have a six-race card.”
