Arsenal fans REALLY miss their injured centre-back Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal’s shock defeat at Everton was the result of some pretty insufficient marking from Arsene Wenger’s side – and as a result there was only one man Gooners pined for: Shkodran Mustafi.

The German defender was signed for a sizeable transfer fee in the summer, and has an impressive record to boast: Arsenal remain unbeaten with him in the team.

Given that the two goals Arsenal conceded at Goodison Park were headers, it didn’t take long before people started to notice the absence of the 24-year-old.

Meanwhile other fans saw an opportunity to close the gap on a Mustafi-less Arsenal side.

Some tried to disprove the theory that Arsenal can’t win without their new defender.

But mostly the fans acknowledged the importance of Mustafi.

Supporting Mustafi rather than Arsenal is always an option though?

Perhaps not.
