All change for Wigan

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is planning to make changes for tomorrow’s Carling Cup third-round tie against Preston.

Winger Victor Moses could feature after making a brief return from an ankle injury as a substitute in Sunday’s Barclays Premier League loss to Manchester City.

Other fringe players such as James McArthur and Steven Caldwell could be given a chance in the derby clash at the DW Stadium.

Martinez has no new fitness concerns but Gary Caldwell (hip) remains on the sidelines and on-loan Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley (knee) is both injured and ineligible.

Provisional squad: Al Habsi, Kirkland, Gohouri, Boyce, Stam, Figueroa, Alcaraz, N’Zogbia, Watson, Diame, Moses, McCarthy, Thomas, Rodallega, Di Santo, Boselli, Gomez, S Caldwell, Golobart, McArthur.
